The small print....
Please make sure that all children/young people taking part in the above activities at Othona have sufficient water, sun cream and suitable footwear/clothing before using the equipment. Leaders in charge cannot be held responsible for this aspect of safety requirements.
Child Protection: all leaders on the youth team are CRB checked in their own churches or through the Bar n Bus organisation and are able to supervise and support children and young people in their care. However, the Leaders will not be acting in loco parentis and Young People will need to be signed in at the Othona site and a contact number left in case of concern. Leaders will be available to walk young people from Othona to chapel site and back but the ultimate responsibility for safety remains with the parents or home church leader accompanying the young person to the Pilgrimage.
